PCMCIA modules with integrated conditional access system

You have subscribed to a pay TV subscription and you are looking for a conditional access PCMCIA for your smart card, the modules with access control are perfect for TVs or your receiver with CI drive otherwise they are compatible with all reception formats, satellite, TNT, cable.

They can be linked to a particular card (dedicated solutions: FRANSAT, Canal + by TNT..) or still valid for all cards using the same access control (eg: the module Viaccess is compatible with BIS and CANALSAT card only..)

The PCMCIA modules

Conditional access modules (CAM) are small, unattached TV subscription card readers in the common interface reader of your TV, SAT or TNT receiver or PC (they meet the DVB-CI standard).

Access control

Compatible with multi-format diffusion (DVB-S, DVB-T, DVB-C), compact and discrete, they allow to add an access control to your equipment (flat screen, satellite or terrestrial receiver, PC tuner..) to decrypt the channels of the pay bouquets ( BIS, Canal +..)  and so do not multiply the remotes and other equipment under your television station.

Dedicated solutions

Beyond the simple compatibility between the card and the corresponding module, there are dedicated solutions, as for example for the reception of satellite TNT (FRANSAT) including the CI module and the access card.
Another feature to consider with attention is the ability to dice-scrambling. A DUAL module will allow you to decode 2 channels of the same frequency simultaneously. Convenient when you want to record a different program than the one viewed. This capacity can even go up to 8 see 24 channels (multi PMTs) in the professional frame like wired network heads

CI +

Last standard adopted by the operators for the reinforcement of the security but also the arrival of the TVoIP, the standard DVB-CI + is used in particular by Canal + for its bouquet of pay channels via TNT or Fransat for its offer via the satellite. It is absolutely necessary to have equipment with a common interface reader that is compatible with CI +.
